Description
A look at the operative process of textiles does not only refer to the logical sequence of stages that are characteristic of the art of weaving and that are universally replicated in all cultures. It is the unique vision of each culture, the number of specific implications of the region, and the interaction of the members of the society which makes the difference and gives the produced object its own identity.
Textiles are also part of the community's social memory. Textiles capture specific moments of local history, graphically describe political and social changes, and build the sources of documentation of these dynamic processes.
